Alfred Went to Rural Disaster Training

So I am home playing DS, reading the Nsider boards, and basically just chillin' at home with the kitties.

It's Flea Market Day in Animal Crossing: Wild World. Not one of my favorite events, but hey, it's something.

My Electroplankton is coming on March 8th. I'm looking forward to trying it out. Too bad I have training until 6:30 that night at work. I am gonna enjoy this weekend because on Monday it's back to fighting with the insurance company and I have a lot of meetings and trainings this week as well.

Last night Alfred was talking about his trip to Oregon and he said that there were just 27 days till he goes. I'm not looking forward to him being gone for two weeks at all. I've never been away from him for that long. I can't stand when he was gone for two days. Heck, I cried every time he went to work a midnight.

On a brighter note, we have our immigration interview the day before he is leaving. I am so nervous about it, but I'm not sure why. What if they don't like us? What if God forbid, they think we aren't really in love? I know about a hundred people who could tell them about us, but they aren't going to be there. I guess I shouldn't worry. Unless they're completely blind they're gonna know how we feel about each other. I guess I am just worrying for nothing as usual.

  It's Friday

The appraiser came and looked at my car today. I won't know anything till Monday or Tuesday. I got a rental though.

The random picture on the left is a sloth baby. Sometime soon I will be able to take my own photographs of sloths.

  An Eventful Tuesday
Yesterday was a productive day. I got alot of work done on my proposal. I ended up staying till 6:45 last night.

I was one minute from my house when I got run over by a truck.

I was driving up the hill toward home and a Dodge Ram 4x4 stopped in front of me and proceeded to back up into and over the front end of my Pontiac Sunfire.

Up until that point, I was having a great day. Apparently, the truck has full coverage which will cover the repair/ replacement of the value of my car. I haven't heard anything from the insurance companies yet. We will see how that goes.

  It's Monday

There wasn't much going on today. I was tired this morning, nothing new there. It snowed a little bit, but we aren't supposed to get much accumulation, if any.

To spice things up a little bit, I have decided to dedicate the post for today to my wonderful husband. Thank you for washing my car, thank you for putting up with me, and thank you for just being you.

Here's a little song...

Why do you love me?
Why do you need me?
Always and forever

We met in a chatroom
Now our love can really bloom
Sure, the world wide web is great
But you, you make me salivate

Yes I love technology
But not as much as you, you see
But I still love technology
Always and Forever

Our love is like a flock of doves
Flying up to heaven above
Always and Forever
Always and Forever
Yes our love is truly great
Always and forever

-Kip Dynamite

We didn't meet in a chat room, but he loves technology, and he also loves....

Yes, MythBusters. He loves them, and if there was a way I could arrange for him to go and meet them I would do whatever it takes to make it happen.

That's all I can think of for my dedication.
I love you Alfredo, even when you're mean because you're sleepy.

  Getting Up to Date

I wanted to begin writing in January, but I guess I didn't make it. Here's a wrap up of February so far.

Alfred got me an orchid for my desk at work. it's very pretty. Nobody believes it's real. This picture doesn't do it justice, but it gives a good idea of what my desk is like.

We went to Seven Springs on Valentine's Day. It's the first time we have gone with just the two of us. I had a good time. I wish it wasn't so far away, we could go all the time after work if it didn't take so long to get there. I really would like to do more snowboarding this year, but we haven't had any snow. Oglebay is out of the question, since they can't make snow like Seven Springs can.

Since Valentine's Day, I've been really busy with work. I'm working on a grant proposal, while still fitting in my client visits, and I'm working on a project for the open house on March 24th. I also volunteered to help on a few other projects.

Alfred went to South Carolina on the 20th and he didn't come home until the 23rd. The flight home was cancelled due to fog, so he had to stay an extra night in a hotel. He had a great time visiting his old friends. He misses them alot and he wants me to meet them.

I really don't like when he goes away. The trip to Oregon in April is going to be really hard. He'll be gone for ten days. I just hope he has fun and has a safe trip. His friend Kent wants to go now. I hope he can, that would make Alfred really happy.

Tomorrow is Monday again and I haven't got any meetings scheduled so I should be able to get some paperwork done.
It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine

My Photo
Location: United States

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
